Sell Engagement Ring Landing
SELL YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING WITHOUT THE AUCTION FEES OR CONSIGNMENT DELAYS
When you want to sell your engagement ring, you shouldn't lose a chunk of its value to fees or wait months for a buyer. Auction houses take 10–28% off the top and give you a date — not a guarantee. Consignment means listing your ring and waiting, sometimes for months, with a commission of up to 50% if it sells. White Pine cuts all of that out. We make a direct, competitive cash offer on your engagement ring — typically within 24 hours — based on the diamond's quality, the setting, and real secondary market demand. No fees, no commissions, same-day payment when you accept. If you decline, we return your ring for free. There is no ceiling on the value of ring we are able to buy. A straightforward process for what is often anything but a straightforward decision.

SELLING A LARGER OR DESIGNER ENGAGEMENT RING

Rings above a certain value are handled personally rather than going through the standard queue. A large center stone, a signed ring, or an antique setting is looked at directly by Bill Norton, our VP of Diamond Operations — and you deal with the same person from your first message to the final offer.
LARGE CENTER STONES
Three carats and above, fancy colors, and unusual shapes are priced on rarity and current demand rather than off a standard price sheet. These are the rings where offers vary most between buyers, and where having somewhere to sell the stone makes the biggest difference to what you are paid.
SIGNED AND ANTIQUE RINGS
A Tiffany, Cartier, or Harry Winston ring, an Edwardian or Art Deco mount, or an old European cut in its original setting carries a real premium over the stone alone. We value the ring as a whole rather than pricing the metal and the diamond separately.
HANDLED DISCREETLY
Selling an engagement ring is personal, and the reason is nobody else's business. Your ring is never listed publicly, shown around, or circulated to third-party bidders, and your name is not attached to it. If you would like a written confidentiality agreement in place first, just ask.
SECURE COLLECTION AND PAYMENT
If you would rather not ship a valuable ring via FedEx, we arrange specialist courier collection at our cost for items above the standard insured label limit. Payment is by wire on the day you accept, at any value, with no cap on what we can settle in one transaction.

WHAT WE BUY
ENGAGEMENT RINGS OF ALL KINDS
We purchase pre-owned engagement rings, both branded and unbranded, over 1 carat (1.5 ct+) — including Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Harry Winston and other designer rings. We buy all styles and will provide a free price estimate when you supply details about your ring. If you have a GIA-certified ring, we can provide a very tight price range or a fixed price.

WHAT OUR HEAD BUYER WANTS YOU TO KNOW BEFORE SELLING A RING

VP of Diamond Operations · GIA Diamond Grading Graduate · White Pine Diamonds since 2011
MOST OF THE VALUE IS IN THE CENTER STONE — BUT NOT ALL OF IT
On a typical modern ring, the center stone carries most of the number and the mount is worth close to its material cost. That is not true across the board. A signed setting, a well-made handmade mount, an Edwardian or Art Deco piece, or a design with significant pavé or side stones is valued well above raw metal. It is worth telling us about the setting rather than assuming we will only look at the diamond — on the right ring, the mount can be a meaningful share of the offer.
WHAT WAS PAID AT RETAIL ISN'T THE BENCHMARK
The receipt, or an insurance appraisal, reflects retail replacement cost. It includes the store's margin, their overheads, and often a cushion on top. Resale is a different market, and on a mass-produced ring the gap between the two is wide. It narrows considerably where the value sits in the stone or the signature rather than in the manufacture. A large solitaire or a signed Cartier or Tiffany ring holds far more of its original figure than a high-street halo does, because what made it expensive is exactly what we are buying.
DON'T REPAIR, RESIZE, OR TIDY IT UP FIRST
People often spend money getting a ring polished, re-tipped, rhodium plated, resized, or having a missing side stone replaced before they sell. It almost never comes back. We price on the stone and the piece, not on how recently it was serviced, and normal wear is expected. Worse, work done by an unqualified bench can chip a girdle or abrade a corner, and that damage does come off the offer. Send it as it is.
BOXES AND PAPERS ARE WORTH FINDING
On a signed ring, the original box, the receipt, the certificate, and any service records genuinely move the number. They confirm the piece is what it appears to be, and a complete presentation is easier for us to place with the next owner. It is worth ten minutes looking through a drawer before you send anything — on a designer ring, the paperwork can be worth more than people expect.
AN UNCERTIFIED RING IS NOT A PROBLEM
A great many rings were never certified, and plenty of older ones carry paper from labs that were never calibrated to GIA. Neither stops us buying. We grade every stone in house to GIA standards before we make an offer, so you don't need to go and have the ring certified first. On larger stones I will sometimes suggest a current report before we finalise a number, because at that size the difference between two adjacent grades comfortably covers the cost — but that is our recommendation to make, not something to spend money on beforehand.
